I am so happy to have joined your community.

My name is Nancy Oicata. I am a speech-language pathologist and the founder of Loving Speech Therapy and Aprende del Autismo; with the unique mission of helping Hispanic families like my family.

I am licensed by the state of Texas and certified by the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA). I specialize in early intervention (0-6 years), and feeding disorders. I received the B.S. degree in Speech Pathology from National University of Colombia; Specialist in Audiology from Iberoamericana University Corporation and the Masters in Speech and Language Pathology from University of VIC, Spain. I have practiced as a pediatric speech-language pathologist since 2001. Additionally, I participated in the LONESTAR LEND program, designed to develop leaders in the field of autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disabilities in the period of 2019-2020 at McGovern Medical School-UT Health Houston.

I am a mother of 3 kids, two of them teenagers with the Autism Spectrum. Inspired by my sons' condition, I acquired extensive training and continuing education in a variety of areas of expertise, which include: developmental disabilities, autism, early childhood language, AAC, pediatric feeding disorders, sensory development and integration disorders, emotional and behavior strategies for ASD population among others. 

 
- Understanding Autism and Other Developmental Disabilities

I provide in-home and virtual evaluations, treatment, and parent coaching services in speech, language, feeding, sensory and autism. I believe in education as the main pillar of my work and professional practices; experiential learning, a play-based, whole child, family centered approach to therapy. I firmly believe in the benefits of nature and biomedical protocols, as well as in the benefits of teamwork to achieve a better quality of life for all those who come to me for support. Building connection and trust with my clients and their families is my top priority.
